Yes, you guessed it, we're having a bit of rain. RAIN! Absolutely buckets of it. The floodwaters are subsiding a bit today, but two days ago the bush camp was an island in a very large inland sea. Gary rang from work just as I was digging trenches around the compound entrance to try and divert the water which was lapping at the lip of the concrete floor. He came home early and we drove around making some dam breaks to try and save the camp, which worked. Thank god he put the big bund wall around the west side of the camp last year or we would have been a foot or two under water in the shed.
Everyone assumed we were trapped out here but the 4WDs got us in and out. I'll let the photos do the talking! Red Dog thought it was all great fun, Honey and Smokey refused to budge from the fireside.
