We have an enormous gidgie tree right in the middle of the compound. For some reason two of the sheds are built right on either side, so you can't walk past, which is crazy. But the main problem is that the tree died a couple of years ago and has to be cut down. It's probably about five or six hundred years old! It seems criminal to take it down, but it's a brittle hardwood and will snap in the next big storm, crushing us like tiny squealing insects.
Jesus Gary is deliberately trying to drive me insane pacing up and down the wood floors of the house in his hard-soled dinner shoes (he wants to get going to the pub for dinner). I'm laughing because he's trying to pretend he's not doing it on purpose. We are so immature.
