So I'm having a quiet moment at work thinking of ways to simplify things a bit so we can get our households under something resembling "control" ha ha ha when Leanne comes over to chat and next thing I know we're driving over to her place to pick up my new baby kangaroo.
Yes! Matilda is a young orphaned red kangaroo, the CUTEST THING IN THE UNIVERSE, very tame and happy, and currently sitting in her pouch on Gary's stomach on the sofa eating grass. I am madly googling kangaroo care notes. Photos when I get back from fire training, if we don't pass out from cuteness. Gary is lying there cooing at it like he's just had a baby. I have to go out now and learn how to cut out mangled passengers from car wrecks.
