The Production Monster Re-Surfaces

Well it was simply inevitable. Using my many years of tertiary education, investment expertise, vast managerial resources and Jedi-level organisational skills I have completely re-organised the roadhouse linen cupboard.

Astonished by the quantum leap in advanced sheet allocation methods, my coworkers gathered in awestruck wonder as I demonstrated that, if you bundle your matching fitted sheet, topsheet and pillowcases into one flat pack as you fold the laundry, and then place them in separate double and single bed stacks on the shelves by following a simple labelling system, you can actually find what you need (as opposed to the "randomly shoved in the cupboard jumbled with some old staff bedding and leftover boxes of coffee spoons that we don't use anymore" method that has been in place since 1971).

This magnificent achievement, combined with my innovative clothes peg storage procedure and "fold as you hang" colour-coordinated laundry pegging matrix on the Hills Hoist, has not only resulted in a mass staff petition to the manager to hire me full time but has also proven to be an extremely gratifying obsessive-compulsive activity. Duncan, discovering that (a) he now has a sock drawer and (b) it is ferociously organised, has sensibly decided that he needs to take me on a week-long fishing holiday before things get completely out of hand.

At the moment the general plan is to spend the winter working mainly at the Overlander, interspersed with fishing & camping breaks and a bit of work in Carnarvon. At some point in the coming year I want to go and do some camel training north of Port Augusta and, if we're going to hang out here in the Gascoyne, get some part time work at one of the camel safari places. That's if the alien reptiles and chem-trail secret government mind control agents don't get us first of course.

Typical mind-controlling alien reptile - but can it colour-coordinate towel sets?
