Projects - Can There Ever Be Enough of Them?

Astonishingly, nothing crazy happened today! Although it is only five o'clock so there could be madness yet to come. Perhaps we've run out of alcohol.

Duncan, who could be the world's most awesome production manager / grip if he was (a) reliable (b) responsible (c) not a Gemini ("dear god please help me to have the patience of a saint and keep me away from the ammo supply"), really is brilliant. He's googled the old Mercury that we found in the bush, rang a bunch of hot rod clubs, and it turns out that there are bucketloads of obsessed hot rod petrol heads who would pay thousands for it or its parts in its existing rust-battered condition. So he's added that to his list of Seven Thousand Gemini Projects Which Change Each Day With Wild Enthusiasm.

We watched TV for the first time in ages last night - one of the great things we have in common are excellent TV Shouting Skills, and when you don't watch TV regularly it's startling to rediscover crap mainstream values on the screen. Duncan says hilarious things when bank ads come on - "What the fuck do you mean, 'striving for excellence'?! You're all gonna die like the rest of us mongrels! Get a life!" Most ads drive him to extravagant swearing and lavish expressions of oratorial outrage which leave me in hysterics ("What are you laughing at! It's not funny! Oh my god I love you so much!").

The weather still sucks massively, rain rain rain, so we have abandoned target practice and have developed a seriously bad Nanosaur addiction. Please don't call or email me anymore as I am busy trying to get through the laser fence compound on Level 2.
