So far the highlights of Esperance are not the stunning national parks or the azure waters - these things pale into insignificance compared to the fact that within one 300 metre stretch of the main road are the caravan supply store, an auto electrician, panel beater, UHF radio shop, gun shop and Bunnings. At this Bunnings - brace yourself - people actually help you, and, amazingly, know where things are. One fellow (you may need to sit down to handle the shock here) actually showed me where something was, then - you'll think I'm making this up - CAME BACK to see if I wanted help carrying anything.
These are the highlights you won't find on the tourist website.
Gotta go - building a new shelving unit. Wild, crazy fun.
