Stop at the Head of the Bight tourist centre, which seems to sum up many things which are wrong with our modern world. Set among hundreds of kilometres of unfenced, uninhabited open land which look out upon the thousands of kilometres of unbroken ocean horizons stretching away towards the vast unknown, you are made to drive through a gate and pay five dollars to see the Bight. Before you get to the various signs providing interesting scientific information about southern right whales & geography, you have to pass signs about things like "Waddabunjacrap" the "giant snake" that made the land etc.
But it's pretty spectacular, and more importantly, there is a good selection of fridge magnets.
